ACRO Program

Glenmore's competitive Acro program launched in 2020 and partnered with the Alberta Gymnastics Federation to proudly host the Western Alliance Acro Cup in 2022.

As a discipline, Acro differs from artistic gymnastics in that the athletes compete in pairs, trios, or quads on the floor in a synchronized routine to music. Skills include; dynamic flips, throws and catches, as well as balances in handstands and shapes demonstrating flexibility and strength.

There are five traditional categories of acrobatic gymnastcis: Women's Pair (WP), Men's Pair (MP), Mixed Pair (MxP), Women's Trio, (W3) and Men's Quad (M4). New categories have been added to the developmental levels in recent years including Mixed Trio (Mx3), Men's Trio (M3), Mixe Quad (Mx4) and Women's Quad (W4).

At Glenmore, we are proud of our ability to create opportunities for athletes of all abilities. For more information on, or to register for, our Recreational Acro programs, please see our Recreational Acro page HERE
