Xcel Program

Glenmore's competitive Xcel program is brand new this year! Offering a hybrid combination of recreational training hours while still providing access to the fun and comradery of competitive gymnastics, the Xcel program is off to a great start!

Created by USA Gymnastics in 2013, the Xcel Gymnastics program is described as "a broad-based, affordable, competitive experience outside the traditional Junior Olympic (now CCP in Canada) program.”

There are five divisions of increasing skill level in Xcel: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Each of these levels allows athletes to train at a level that fits their skills while also balancing their school, sport, or financial commitments.

Every athlete will have the opportunity to train and compete in each of the four Women's artistic events: vault, bars, beam, and floor. The goal of Xcel is to offer gymnasts of different capabilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a positive and rewarding gymnastics experience.

At Glenmore, we feel that this fits our mandate to be an affordable, accessible, and inclusive gymnastics club that provides opportunities for all to remain excited and engaged in this "Sport for Life".

Admission to the Xcel program is through a tryout and skill assessment process in the gym. Due to the high level of interest in this new program, there is currently a wait list in place to accept new participants. For more information on the program or to schedule a tryout and enter your name on the wait list, please contact WAG Team Lead: Sydney Jones

PLEASE NOTE:

Class fees do not include the monthly $5 Facility Enhancement Fee or the annual Alberta Gymnastics Federation membership fee.
